Rewound In Black is my love letter to Black music, performance, storytelling, and the voices that shaped generations.

Each letter of the alphabet is represented by a different Black cultural figure whose artistry, presence, or legacy left an undeniable mark on our culture.

For this original collection, I reimagined the cassette tape as both canvas and metaphor—a symbol of memory, nostalgia, repetition, and the way Black creativity has always been recorded, shared, replayed, and passed down.

Each painting is individually created on a 5 × 7 inch black acrylic panel, bringing the intimacy of a cassette into a collection designed to be experienced as a whole.
